After the recent Poco F8 Ultra (Redmi K90 Pro) camera leaks, fresh details have now emerged about the upcoming OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro. Both smartphones are expected to launch in China later this month, and early leaks suggest that while OnePlus may take a step back in some areas, Realme seems to be taking a big leap forward in camera performance.
OnePlus 15 to Feature Sony Lytia LYT-700 Main Camera but Possible Downgrade in Sensor Size
The OnePlus 15 is rumored to come equipped with a 1/1.5-inch Sony Lytia LYT-700 main sensor, a solid choice but slightly smaller than the 1/1.43-inch sensor found in the OnePlus 13. The phone will also feature a periscope telephoto lens using the 1/2.76-inch Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, while the ultrawide camera could also use a 50MP ISOCELL JN5 sensor.
However, some fans might be disappointed since the new periscope lens appears to use a much smaller sensor compared to the 1/1.95-inch sensor in the previous model. Additionally, the OnePlus 15 is said to downgrade its display to a 1.5K resolution panel, instead of the QHD+ screen on its predecessor.
Realme GT 8 Pro to Pack 200MP Periscope Lens – A Massive Jump from GT 7 Pro
The Realme GT 8 Pro is shaping up to be one of Realme’s most ambitious camera phones yet. Like the OnePlus 15, it will use the Sony Lytia LYT-700 sensor for its main camera. But the real surprise lies in its periscope telephoto camera, which reportedly uses a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size.
This would be a huge improvement over the GT 7 Pro, delivering far better zoom detail and image clarity. In fact, on paper, the GT 8 Pro could even outperform the OnePlus 15 in zoom performance — something rarely seen, as Realme has not been known for camera-centric flagships in the past.
Expected Launch and Pricing Details
Both OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro are expected to debut in China by the end of October 2025, followed by a global rollout soon after. The OnePlus 15 could be priced around ₹65,000, while the Realme GT 8 Pro may start near ₹50,000, making it a powerful yet affordable flagship option.
