Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next big flagship — the Poco F8 Ultra, which is expected to debut in China as the Redmi K90 Pro. The upcoming smartphone is said to focus heavily on camera performance, bringing major improvements over its predecessor, the Poco F7 Ultra.
Poco F8 Ultra to Feature Powerful 1/1.3-inch Main Camera Sensor with Light Fusion
According to leaks, the Poco F8 Ultra and Redmi K90 Pro will feature a 1/1.3-inch main sensor similar to the one used in the Xiaomi 17 series. It will come with an f/1.7 aperture, 23mm focal length, and OIS support for ultra-stable shots. This new OmniVision sensor with Xiaomi Light Fusion technology will capture brighter and more detailed photos, especially in low light.
Periscope Telephoto Lens with 3x Optical Zoom
For the first time, Xiaomi is introducing a periscope telephoto camera in this series. The sensor is expected to be Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5, offering 2.5x–3x optical zoom and even telephoto macro capabilities, allowing users to take detailed shots from a distance.
50MP Ultra-Wide Camera for Immersive Shots
The ultra-wide camera will also see a huge upgrade, featuring the OmniVision OV50M sensor with 50MP resolution and a 1/2.88-inch size. It’s a big leap from the previous 32MP setup, promising sharper, wider, and more vibrant images.
Power-Packed Performance and Expected Launch
The Poco F8 Ultra will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with Hyper OS and a 120Hz QHD+ display. Launch is expected in November 2025 (China), while global rollout could follow in early 2026. The price may start around ₹55,000–₹60,000, making it a strong competitor in the flagship space.
