Xiaomi has finally launched its new compact tablet, the Xiaomi Pad Mini. Despite its smaller size, this tablet is packed with premium features and is ready to challenge the Apple iPad Mini. Let’s dive into what makes this new tablet special.
First Impressions Ultimate Experience in Grey Version
Our review unit comes in the Grey color with the 12/512 GB configuration. It includes a USB-A to USB-C cable and a 67W charger. You can also pair it with the Xiaomi Focus Pen and the Pad Mini Cover for an enhanced experience.
Pad Mini Cover: More Than Just Protection
The Pad Mini Cover is both stylish and functional. It comes in white color with a 1.3mm PC shell and a 0.5mm soft PU layer. The integrated rubber band on the back works as a kickstand or hand grip, making it easy to hold or use the tablet in landscape mode.
Xiaomi Focus Pen: Perfect for Creativity and Productivity
The Xiaomi Focus Pen is compatible with the Pad Mini and other Xiaomi tablets. It supports 8192 levels of pressure and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The pen feels solid in hand and has three buttons for Spotlight search, screenshot, and writing. Just snap it onto the Pad Mini’s side and connect instantly.
Display and Performance: Small Tablet, Big Power
The Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch 1880x3008px IPS LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and Dolby Vision support. Peak brightness reaches up to 700 nits.
Under the hood, it runs on the 3nm Dimensity 9400+ chipset with up to 12GB RAM. The centrally positioned SoC improves heat dissipation and makes the tablet feel balanced in hand.
Connectivity: Dual USB-C Ports for Maximum Convenience
The Pad Mini has two USB-C ports. The long-side port supports DisplayPort 1.4, while the short-side port handles data transmission. This allows you to connect a mouse, external monitor, or other USB-C devices while charging.
Price and Availability: When and Where You Can Get It
The Xiaomi Pad Mini is available in 8/256GB and 12/512GB configurations in Purple and Gray colors. It’s priced at SGD 799 in Singapore, AED 1,599 in UAE, and 1,999 MYR in Malaysia. More countries are expected to get it in the coming weeks.
